After all everyone survived with printed maps for several decades. Not discouraging you, but you can do what you want with your money. I would consider a map update only once in five years or so for the sole reason that it is not free. The only use I see is for those who constantly and very frequently travel to different cities (which is new to them). But if you live there long enough, you won't need a navigation anyway.įrom what I've heard and read, most people who purchased an update are disappointed that they do not see any difference from before. But how useful it is for you if you are in any other state? Now if you are living in a city where there is constant construction happening and the roads keep changing then it might be okay.
